ive got a 70mm T1R that is pretty loud. i generally try to keep the sound down when i come in at night. only so much i can do though. havent had a neighbor complain yet.

however, my buddy's neighbor is an unhappy old man. he is probably 70, and gets seriously unhappy at EVERYTHING. before i had my exhaust, i dropped my buddy off at his place, and as i drive away at 16 mph (no joke), he yells at me to "slow down". public neighborhood, speed limit is 25.

he has made trouble for my friend and his family as well in the past, they try to leave him alone. he always glares at me when i drive by.

i dont understand people. i am super easy, it takes A LOT for me to complain about something, it seems that some people just like causing problems for others.

HaHa - the shoe was on the other foot recently. My neighbor has a Harley with a loud pipe and usually I like hearing him come and go.

But, the other night in the wee hours he pulled into his driveway and left it idling for the loooooongest time, and where it was parked the reverb was just killing me while I lay in bed trying to get some sleep.

So I went over and complained and he shut it down - he's a good guy.

 

I would hate it if I had a trashy neighbor that drove a car with a loud exhaust and said things like "always be muggin".

That would suck.

 

I once had a neighbor so anoyed at people speeding down our road that they raked a bunch of leaves accross the road, then stood there with picket signs and yelled at trafic to slow down.

Really surreal, A suburban middle class family with two kids picketing speeders on a two lane road. I was worried that a motor cycle would loose it in the leaves, but nothing happend. The same bitch was able to get more regular speed traps on our road, by calling and complaining to the county police.

 

I do what I can to respect my neighbors and everything but...lately a family moved in to my neighborhood and their kids (12 and 14) love to drive their four wheeler on the roads and whatever. Thats cool, I dont care. I was driving home last week and the kids pull out of the woods on to the road in front of me. I stay like a car length and a half behind them going 20mph (limit is 30). They turn into their street..I turn into my street and go home. About 10 minutes later I get a knock on my door and the most redneck SOB you can imagine (unshaven...white tanktop...beer gut poking out) is standing there. He starts yelling he ass off at me for "follerin his kids too close" and " 'Ceding the speed limit" and he would "suit my ass" if he ever saw me do it again. For the last week or so he will yell at me and give me the finger when I drive by but he hasnt been back to my house....Would I be a tool for calling CPS on him since you have to be 16 to drive an off road vehical?

 

I don't have any annoying neighbors.

 

i was driving out of my neighbrohood in the middle of the day once going exactly the speed limit (25mph) and this lady sitting at the front of her yard doing some gardening starts yelling something so i stop and ask whats the matter? she proceeds to yell at me to slow down because i might run over her dog. i thought maybe she needed help with something because she was screaming at the top of her lungs initially. but no she was just yelling about me possibly hitting her dog, which i could see was plenty far from the road. i just said whatever and continued to drive out of there.

 

Some of you guys need to have more respect for your neighbors considering they are old, you may just be the only thing they can try to have control over at their age.

However, There is a guy that lives right behind me (around 80 yrs old). I will literally go down the street at 20 and the speed limit is 25. And every time (never fails) He walks to the end of his driveway and gives me the finger. LOL! And I just waive back to him as if he was originally waving to me

 

Respect is a big word!

How can anyone have respect for people if they don't get respect back.

I don't care if these people are 110 yrs.old,they have no right to complain about what other people do,as long as what they are doing is with in the limits of the law.

BTW if that 80 yr. old man gave me the finger everytime I drove by,I would gladly flip him the bird right back.

 

Don't think I haven't thought about giving him the finger back. Hell, I though it would be funny to give him to fingers back simultaneously

However, Old people will always complain just about everything! that's why you should just brush it off, If you think about it, the more times you piss them off...could just lead them to have less days left in their lives. If it satisfies them, to flip you off...who cares? Is your day really going to stop because of some old person flipped you off? no.

My grandma used to complain about EVERYTHING! and when I would purposely tell her something that I knew she would agree with, she would still complain about that too...its a vicious cycle my friend...just accept it.
