I'm sure you guys have seen this ad before but I just don't get it? Are those zombies? Yes? No? Why would you have that on a national ad???

its a genre specific image and it being so close to halloween, I am sure they are marketing the horror genre of films. i bet there are mummies, vampires and frankenstiens on other marketing materials in other regions. you just happened to get zombies.

I guess that marketing plan was lost on you

I'm with BB Online now but only because of the in-store tie-in (instant swaps for discs) and decent Blu-Ray selection. I was with Netflix and IMO their overall system is better (website & turn-time). Kadeshpa, why do you figure BB is superior?

I've said it before in other threads, but I went with Netflix ages ago for selection. . . more Indie and Foreign flicks. Also, BB and Hollywood Vid have edited versions of certain movies. . . count me out.

I used to use BB online as well, but everytime I returned the videos in-store they would claim the videos were never returned and tried to charge me $10 each time. That company has some of the WORST customer service I've ever dealt with.

Netflix has been 100% trouble free for over 8 months now.

I guess everyone has horror stories on each side of the fence. For me, Netflix SUCKED. Always received scratched disks that would inevitably stop playing once 3/4 of the movie was viewed. Turn over time was forever. Took eons to get first run movies.

On the other hand, BB has been relatively flawless for me. I rent 3 at a time and get the coupon emailed that gives me a free in store rental (movie or game). Also, I can take my 3 mailed movies and return them at the store and get 3 new movies right then and there. No wait. Plus, when I've returned them at the store, even though I have 3 movies rented from the store for free, they send me 3 new movies in the mail.

You just can't beat that. BB Online is clearly superior. Unless of course you like indie and foreign films, then I concede Netflix is the better choice.

BB is a horrible company. The only reason they offer incentives (which are decreasing, and the prices for rentals is going up) for online programs is to steal customers from netflix. Once the customer base is big enough, kiss all your free in store rentals and everything else good bye. You can bet the farm on that.
