Netflix questions
pretty sure HBO never had any shows on Netflix streaming... In fact, HBO shows are pretty much the only reason I still use Netflix for bluray/dvd. I use it for 99% streaming.
Also, I'm wondering if Amazon will step up its game to try to cut into some of the market on streaming... they have some stuff now on Prime, but it's pretty limited.

I read a few months ago that Netflix signed deals with a few studios to allow them to stream movies immediately after the DVD is released instead of waiting the usual ~2 months~, so there will be more titles available to watch instantly.
I was paying $2 for Blue-Ray DVD service even though I hardly used it...was cheap enough to keep for convenience. It's not worth the new $9 price though. I'll keep the streaming service - $8 bucks is cheap for what they offer.

Keep in mind, those who are pissed with Netflix right now: all of the pricing increases are because of the contracts with movie studios and TV networks. Including and especially Comcast's majority stake in NBCUniversal They are seeing the success of Netflix and .. I don't know... trying to milk it for all it's worth I guess?
The pricing increase just jumped me from $12/month to 18.
