Is Netscape Navigator dying?
I check my webstats about once a month, and last month (yeah! more than 100K hits!
), 95% of the users were on one version of IE or another, only 5% were using Netscape. Is Netscape dying?

I'm using netscape 6 now, but it's really awfully unpractical & slow.
I just can't switch to IE, partly because of a design trauma induced by the uglyness of the interface, partly because of a gut feeling against all Microsoft products (I'm a Mac man)...

Netscape is dying. The preview version of IE6 is more stable and faster then the release version of Navigator 6. I belive that AOL bought Netscape, and most people know how well AOL can program. I know many people that have said that they would never use IE. After they have used IE5, they have now said they will never go back to Netscape.

I still use Netscape as my primary Web browser (v4.75) on the regular basis. However, on certain sites, I have to use IE. IMO, I don't think AOL has Netscape on the top of their priority list so their is still lots of improvement need to be made for Netscape in the future...

I may not particularly like Microsoft, but I'm not going to cut off my nose to spite my face.
AOL is currently experimenting with using Netscape instead of IE in a subset of their users (mmm...users of their CompuServe service as I recall). If they decide that works and they move all of their users over to Netscape, expect to see a big jump in the number of Netscape users on the net.

Mac user here too. But I have to give credit where credit is due, and on the Mac platform IE is the far superior product.
