Ok, I have AT&T broadband and decided that I wanted to hook up another PC to have access as well. So I have a Linksys 4 port router that I had someone help me hookup. Well, now the internet connection is SUPER slow, for both pc

Linksys should work out of the box. TCI/IP setting should all be automatic. It's probably a configuration with the computers you're using.

try hooking it back up to the individual computer again to see if your connection goes back to speed, the Linksys router should do nothing to slow the two computers down, the only thing would slow it down is if one of the computers is eating up the bandwidth. You could always go to BANDWIDTH PLACE to get a base speed to compare.

If the router is configed wrong it can have everything to do with his speed degradation. Router/software config is what stops the appearence of what you refer to as "Eating up the bandwidth".
