Anyone want to tell me when the car development process starts. The RX-Evolv was done before the S2000 was out, and the car has "evolved" to what you see here. And the chrome around the tail lights was just done for the 2002 S2000 so who is copying who?

This has been brought up so many times, the cars look similar, but nobody at Mazda looked at the S2000 and said, wow, let's steal that. The back looks like the back of many sports cars including the Miata!!

Also, anything that looks cheap on the RX-8, you have to remember this is a prototype build still. Not production.

So please stop with the crap, it makes me sick that they stole the design of my precious S2000. Some of the S2000 love around here makes me sick. I love my car, but there are A LOT of other great cars out and to come.

Now, from things I have read. There is a possibility the RX-7 will return. I would think that would be closer to being just a two seater with a bigger engine and a bigger price tag, much bigger. There are thoughts of a convertible, just not sure if will be for the RX-8 or for the possible RX-7. Also, the car is supposed to cost between 25k - 30k, but I wouldn't be surprised if it nudges it's way to the S2000 price tag, but just a bit lower. I think it will also depend on how much the 350Z will cost.

And oh yes, I love the RX-8. Oh, and I love the comparo picture, I can't believe Mazda stole having an aluminum clutch, brake, and gas pedals!! How dare they!!

Talk about ripping off styling cues....
I can't believe it has 4 wheels just like the s2000! They also included a gear shifter and steering wheel in the FRONT seat area just like my s2000. Both of them even have engines in the front but the wheels turn in the back. They seem to have ripped off the yellow color from honda as well (we all know honda invented the color yellow as this color was not found in nature until the s2000 came along). What obviously happened here was this:

The covert paramilitary branch of Mazda infiltrated the Honda design center, kidnapped the s2000 designers and forced them to work in secret underground studios with poor light conditions. They were fed nothing but sweet pickles and Yoo-Hoo and were made to sleep on old drafting tables with nothing but sheets of paper from failed designs to keep them warm. Unfortunately, the working conditions were so poor none of the new designs were viable, so Mazda shipped the designers off to work in the salt mines of the underground "mole" people (Mazda's famous U.M.P.S.M. division). Mazda then bought a new 2000 s2000 from the local Honda dealership and used replicator technology (courtesy of Mazda's U.M.P.R.T. division) and replicated this s2000, removed the badges with dental floss, affixed new badges, welded the hard top on, added 2 more doors, replaced the engine and drive train, replaced the interior, and is now calling it the Mazda s2000..er... I mean RX-8.

And you know this has to be true because you read somewhere on the internet.
