I was a big fan and when Layne died it was a sad day. Anyway, they now have a new vocalist that can still keep up with Layne's legacy and has a style of his own too.

Alice in Chains has always been one of my favorite bands, but there's no replacing Layne IMO. It's just not the same band now. That said, their newer work is good, I just prefer their music from the 90s- early 2000s.
