Does anyone have one? I was in Tampa, FL last week on business and in a mall down there they have a Mac store, so I wander in and see (among other things) the very sexy, new iMac. Since I'm a unix dork I've never really been attracted to the Mac, but now with OS X it is looking appealing. The salesdude saw my unix related shirt, and asked me if I knew how to fix a problem with anti-aliased fonts. I told him to get me to a terminal and I'll figure it out. Very familiar environment running tcsh as the shell, and I figured out some weird command to fix it. It was cool - even had SSH on it

So OS X users, if your fonts look jagged around the edges on your desktop, type in the following command:

defaults write .apple.com AntiAliasedFonts 8

 

Are you talking about the one that looks like a sun flower? I don't have that one, but I have one of the cd burning imacs. It's cool. Tres cool.

I love it to pieces and mac os x is sooooo awesome.

 

The iMac that could only read CDs really sucked.
