too bad we cant say we gained this much for our cars... But at least it seems that injen was able to wring more power out of the acura rsx type s. i never knew it was possible to get that much power outta a intake. do you guys beleive this? is it possible that the stock intake is that restrictive? in the CAI discussion on s2kchat one eve, Sev and I were discussing that the S was produced with one of the coldest air intakes by design from the factory than most other cars. most other cars have very small intakes and are very indirect or even let out near the exhaust, which help with the EGR and heat up the engine quickly on cold days.

So, gains will be quite minimal because this is tweaked out as much as it can from the factory with compromises and the mods are all icing on the cake. Gains in vettes, mustangs, camaros, all of those cars from a simple intake, or cat-back, you'd be surprised to know that they yeild quite a bit.

i highly doubt they're getting 18hp that's a huge number...like a near 10% increase in power...i doubt it's true

 

That's a pretty big claim to make with no published dyno results. My brother's getting an RSX-s, I'm worried he may be able to beat my 4th gen Maxima even without that thing....
