Default New Ipod Nano just stopped working!

8gig nano, got it for X-mas, less than 2mon ago.

Been listening to it at work almost everyday since, have about 800 songs on it. Just hook it up to set of computer speakers and run it through the headphone jack.

Suddenly the player just stopped. The screen is still on and lit up, but nothing has moved. Still has the Title/Author/Time/etc. Pushing the buttons do nothing!

any advice? I dont see a reset button, and hold the off button has done nothing...thanks

Take it to the apple store and get a replacement one. It should be covered under warranty.

Hold the middle circle button and the menu button down at the same time and hold it until the ipod resets. That should do the trick.

But before you do that you have to switch the "hold" slider from off to on to off.

If you switch the hold on and off, you do a hard reset, otherwise, its just a normal reset. either way, it will reset the iPod. I don't know what's up with iPods these days, but the latest updates made them all freeze up randomly.
