I saw one of these God awful things here in Gainesville yesterday. First impressions? As expected, the thing is huge and bulky looking especially in the rear. The back is very high due to the folding hardtop AND wanting trunk space. It seemed to be about the same size as a Caddy. The other thing is the styling is just plain ugly. Kinda made me feel like the first time I saw the new Aztek. Beware- one may show up in your town soon.

I kind of like it from some angles. And not from some other angles. It's distinctive for sure. The Aztec to me is ugly beyond belief. The Lexus on the other hand, interesting, distinctive and weird.

I didn't think they looked good in pictures ... but saw one driving the other day and liked it alot ... I think it looks WAY better with the top down ... a little out-of-proportion with the top up ...

Also saw three red ones go by on a truck ...

Have fun,
Derek

I saw one at the local auto show last month. It was more impressive in person than in the magazine pics. Very cool folding hardtop design. Good looking from some angles and not so good from others. With 300 horses, a top that drops, a fairly pleasant shape, and Lexus quality who could resist? But a bit expensive at $55K or more....

The dealership down the srteet has a bunch, they do like kinda wierd. The interior is gorgeous though. They're real expensive also.

I saw one here the other day (Portland, OR).

Its butt ugly. I think Lexus was trying too hard this time.

I would take a number of convertibles over the Lexus including the M3 convertible and Mercedes AMG SLK.

I saw one Sunday while driving home from Woodbury Commons, NY. . . I thought the car looked solid from the back and sides. However, up-front, I thought the hood was too round. . . But, the headlights & the grill were really cool. . .

The SC430 may be worth %55K, but its probably worth it. . .

I was walking with my girlfreind down by the lake this weekend and got stopped at a crosswalk right in front of one, two guys with the top down and all I really noticed was how cool the dash looked, there's some kind of display on it that I couldn't read cause of the sun, but it looked pretty cool.

One thing is for sure, a dog couldnt' even fit in those rear seats...

I saw three of them while I was out 'n' about last weekend. They look much better in person than in pictures. If I were old & lazy, I'd drive one.

they're all over the Silicon Valley/Bay Area. i'm not very impressed. even my non-car-enthusiast friends were not impressed - one likening it to a bloated Saturn SL2!!
