damn it. Does anyone else have a problem with Buyandhold.com?

I placed an order yesterday set to purchase at 10:00am during that trading window today.

I just checked, and not only did the transaction not occur, they cleared out the order on the pending transactions. WTF happened to the order?!?!

Yea, buyandhold.com didn't let me put the order through because of it. I don't know if I should be mad or not because if I wanted to buy the stock, they should have let me, regardless. The same thing happened to me for stocks that aren't in bankruptcy. What the heck is going on with buyandhold

Shares of stock symbols ending in Q 99 times out of 100 end up being worth $0.00 once bankruptcy is completed. Holders of common stock (what you're buying on the open market) are last in line to get their money out of a bankrupt company and the money runs out well before that point in line is reached...

I dropped some money on ARTG as recommended in the other thread; hopefully it was not a spurious recommendation and we'll see some earth-shaking news early next week... if not, a stop limit order should let me come out even at least.

cali99boy: The picks and recommendations you're seeing here are mostly day-trade type stocks - not necessarily solid long-term investments. The name 'buyandhold' should probably tip you off that the brokerage your dealing with is not geared toward those who wish to make many critically-timed trades...

Yes, I actually tried to make your tip (ARTG) to good use. I tried putting in order for that yesterday, but it never went through today.
