new NAPA Auto Parts Commercial
So i was watching tv and apparently NAPA auto parts has this new commercial.. what's with all these auto places trying to appeal to young people?? so the commercial goes like this:
a young asian guy walks into NAPA and asks about headers, up pipe, down pipe, cams... the older white dude working there responds using something that sounds technical (but i highly doubt it is).. the kid looks lost.. so the guy points to a few NOS systems on the wall.. the asian kid then smiles and goes: "yeah cool!"
so a few issues i have with this commercial:
1. Why is it a young asian guy.. .that's so stereotypical
2. why does the white dude come across as being more knowledgeable than teh young asian guy.
3. The kid comes in asking about header and pipes, and the dude suggests NOS.. and the kid says "cool" how the hell did they get from headers and pipes to NOS???

Very stupid commercial. I don't mind that they have an Asian kid. I don't mind that the person working at the store is portrayed as more knowledgeable.
I do mind that they made it seem as if the Asian kid was an idiot ricer.

LOL, well the guy behind the counter came across as more knowelegable because NAPA tries to make it look like their sales people actually know what they are talking about.
Then again, it would have been funny if the asian guy went in and said "I need NOS!! 2 of them, and I need it by tonight!!"
