Disgusting Chrysler Commercial
I just had the misfortune of seeing Chrysler's latest television commercial: a parody of Folger's coffee commercials in which a fancy restaurant owner's Toyota (or whetever) is replaced with a Chrysler 300.
At the end of the commercial the announcer says that Chrysler also replaced the owner's wife of twenty years with a young model named Isabella, who is then seen sitting in the front passenger seat.
Evidently nobody at Chrysler has sufficient good taste to see how disgusting and insulting this commercial is. Am I to infer from their commercial that I should discard my fabulous wife of 27 years for some Italian model on the premise that my wife is not young enough or not beautiful enough or not fill-in-your-favorite-adjective enough?
I went to Chrysler's website, found the Contact Us page, and sent an e-mail to them suggesting that they come to their senses and both pull the commercial and issue a public apology for their thoughtlessness before they start losing sales revenue. I may, further, mail a letter to the CEO of DaimlerChrysler AG.
I'd encourage anyone here who finds this advert tasteless to follow suit and e-mail Chrysler.

Marriage is not sacred in the United States. Are you surprised by this? Just because you, and your wife have a great and happy marriage, doesnt mean the rest of the country does. You are an extreme minority.
