BigWave10, WSX?? A WRX matches the S2K more or less stat for stat. AWD, turbo charged boxer 4 that is easy to extract more power from. W/a few $K in mods, a WRX could eat us alive. But it's not much of a convertible http://www.imprezawrx.com/wrx.htm

I have a WRX wagon on order for my daily driver. It's not an S2000, but it is plenty fast, and a hoot to drive.

The Subaru is a very good and fast car, but what's the point of the comparison? It's designed for different purposes. Try putting the top down, for example. Take the turbo out and what does its 4-banger do?

This game of which car is faster is going to be a major source of frustration, because in most cases we're comparing apples and oranges. My own feeling is that it's far better for me to improve my driving skill so that I can extract the most out of the s2000's considerable potential. My driving skill, in the end, will count for a lot more than the performance differences between these cars, which few drivers can manage. Just witness the number of expensive, good handling MBs, BMWs and Jaguars being driven like they're Buicks.

I went to a huge WRX meet last weekend and a few of them were pretty scary. The HKS WRX would have raped me!

How does base price of a WRX compare to our stooks? Does anyone have an address of a website with WRX info? I keep hearing about the car on this forum and would like to learn more - or at least be able to spot one on the street and know what I'm up against.
