New Reefer Madness
i bought "reefer madness" about a year ago for $1.99 at boscov's thinking it was going to be really funny...... old movies are NEVER funny...
Stuff that may have been funny in 1970 is so played out there is nothing to laugh at.
Not sure about the new reefer madness, but they better update it a bunch if they expect it to be good.

The implications behind the original refer madness is absurd. The only reason it was made in the first place is because of friends/relitative in the loging industry and the government. I cant remember specifically but I *believe* it was a nephew in the log'n industry, and an uncle that was an influencial senator. Seriously, there are many reason why grass should be legal and alcohol illegal. I see it like this -
When was the last time this hapened in a hash bar -
Boyfriend/husband A gets all upset and angry because guy B looked at 'his' women wrong. Guy A goes to have some choice words with guy B. Things escalate and a brawl happens. Take grass/hash out of the picture and replace with alcohol...seems a hell of alot more likely all of a sudden.
It is mentally addicting, not physically/both. You don't wake up the next day feeling like you where hit by a frieght train. Alot will argue this, but if casually smoking it does not impair you're judgement (both in actions and re-action times) like alcohol does. No one smokes a phatty and wakes up next to a whale in an unknown city.
Dunno, I have always seen it as the lesser of most evils. And there are people that smoke, that you would never suspect. It is allways good fun to find a fellow smoker in a situation that you would never expect to find one.
