I know some people get a kick out of bad news...either that, or find it funny.

Well, to sum it up...I lost my new board in some freaking waterfall cave or something.
In this case...a picture speaks a thousand words, check it out:

What pisses me off, is that my exhausting rescue attempt resulted in complete loss!
My friend that was waiting below said he could hear the board
bouncing around to far depths underneath the snow.
I loved that board :

Below is the top of the say 75 foot cliff. I was hanging onto the lower tree you see to the left of the creek/waterfall,
poking at my board with an out of bounds pole...

Lost the board the end of day 3/4. The idea came up that I should dig for the board.
But I felt that digging ontop of something hollow, of unknown size and dept was not wise.
Freaking ski patrol had to take me down the mountain with a snow mobile.
Those things are kick ass by the way.

Besides the loss...Whistler is a bad ass resort for skiers and boarders:

Glacier lift.

The waterfall is visible from the bottom of the Glacier lift.

Dig at your own risk! Salomon 450 152cm, S4 bindings.

That sucks, but how did you lose your board? Mine was always attached to my feet, unlike skiers, or were you holding it when riding up the lift, and dropped it?

Check out to see if your (or your parents) homeowners will cover it.

If you are looking for a replacement, I know quite a few Salomom people, and evry shop owner in town (Winter Park CO.).

Ditto. It's been 3 years since I've been there. Still my fav place in the west coast. (Unicron) sorry about ur board...sure sounds like it had some significant sentimental value.

I was being a moron, and was riding the board on my ass without the leash attatched to my leg.

It was 100% stupidity, and 1% chance that it would wind up stuck at the top of the waterfall. If I didn't take the risk...that 1/100 chance would have been 0/100!

I am actually happy that the board didn't go flying off the cliff and the chopping someone's head off. That would have been bad...
