Default New years resolutions?

I've never really been one for new year resolutions but this year is going to be a little different. I'm signed up with the Air Force for four years as of earlier this month. After living on my own for eight years it's going to be a big change. So my 'resolution' is to get a little better conditioned before I head to boot camp in March. I also feel that getting accustomed to the military way of life is going to be a challenge for me.

Any big changes for your new year?

My younger son was supposed to join the Air Force last June, but has delayed it till, apparently, early 2010.

Best of luck, and Godspeed.

I've been in the Air Force for 5 years now, I joined when I was 17, it has brought a different outlook on life in a good way. I have been to Afghanistan once, and Iraq twice at a very young age. good luck to you MP2k!

mp2k. I will never agree with how the war on Iraq was started and some of the politics that brought everything into play, but I will support all the troops from around the World in that fight.

Nothing as big or life changing as yourself, but I wanna quit smoking this year. Already started Allen Carr's Easy Way to Quit Smoking.....better work dammit. Coulda bought 2 packs of smokes for the price of that book.

props for joining the armed forces when they need people the most. Although I am a pacifist, I totally respect and understand the need for the military.

My new years resolution:

As I just got into a full tuition waiver R.A position, I will try my hardest in school, save money, help my family, and hang out with my real friends.

I'm in on the lb. dropping too. starting Monday I'm going on the bike for an hour a day, and making slight adjustments to the diet. I hope to lose about 20lbs before summer!
