Default New Yorkers ever been here?

My wife and I always get away for a extended weekend during fall foliage. This year we are staying here in the middle of October.

So anyone stay here? It looks real sweet

I have been there 2 or 3 times. It is really beautiful. It is a lot of fun to take all the different paths around and up the mountain (you can't see it in that picture, its on the other side of that lake) The only not that good thing is that it is very rustic. The rooms are not very comfortable. Everything is very old and if you are a person who does not like doing activity outside, there is really not to much to do. Also, there is no air conditioning. Overall, I think it is a great place to go. Hope I helped to you.

I thought the food was really good. Also, the most fun paths are the "rock scrambless" Hope you have a good time.

Looks cool. That's only about an hour from me. I didn't realize stuff like that was so close. It sounds, per Eze8199, a little like "The Shinning." Can we say, "REDRUM,"

Charlie,

It is a real nice place. I agree with Eze8199 on the rustic, my room did not have a tv or phone.

A suggestion if it is not too late . . . Every year I stay at The Sagamore (http://www.thesagamore.com/html/main_hotel.htm) in the fall. Great restaurants, very comfortable accomodations and the foliage is great. They also have nice spa services.

You can't go wrong with the either hotel.

Regards,
Michael
