Nintendo Wii
I got mine from Amazon (directly from Amazon, not a marketplace seller) in late January for $250. A friend tipped me off to its availability and by the time I completed my order, they no longer had them in stock. I haven't Wii consoles available on Amazon since, but it's not a bad idea to keep checking their site.
Amazon may be your only fair-priced online retailer as other stores, like Best Buy, have stated they will not sell the Wii online until they are readily available.
If you want one & are like me and don't want to pay an inflated price for one, just make a concerted effort to keep up with the tracking websites & your local stores and you'll find one. You may end up standing outside a store early one morning, but as others here have stated, it's worth it; the Wii rocks!!
On the other hand, if you don't mind paying $375+, you can get one today on eBay.

EB Games has the most reasonable, guaranteed price I've seen on them. You get all the hardware you need in two wiimotes and two nunchucks (these are impossible to find - harder than a Wii), and SD card you really don't, and four good games for $570, which is about what you'd pay normally.
Used to be you just order it and it ships to your house in a few days, but now they are having a re-release date of 2/28. If you can wait a few weeks, its probably the best solution short of scavenging local stores early in the morning.
The Family pack is the better of its two bundles - http://www.ebgames.com/product.asp?cookie%...uct_id=B020070I

On a side note, my local target had 3 PS3s in stock, and the CC next door had FOUR PS3s in stock!
I made sure to check when I was there after reading this smug little comment quoted below.

Fantastic news comes from SCEA president Jack Tretton regarding a new Sony money making scheme.
Regardless of the news that PS3s are in plentiful stock within American stores, Tretton has gone on record in a recent interview within the March issue of US-mag EGM (viewable via 1up).
When questioned on why PS3s were sitting upon store shelves instead of consumer homes, Tretton stated "If you can find a PS3 anywhere in North America that's been on shelves for more than a few minutes, I'll give you 1,200 bucks for it." He continued, "I can get any retail buyer on the phone with you and get them to verify that not a single retail location in America where there's a PlayStation 3 on the shelf for sale. They've all been sold in a matter of minutes."

That Sony rep is an idiot. First he badmouths MS for its 360 features, now he badmouths the Nintendo. If you don't have anything good to say about your own product, it doesn't help to talk out of your as regarding the competition.

Mario PARTY FTW!!!!!!!!
If you were part of sony, I am pretty sure the same thing would be said. He is getting paid lots of $$ to rep for sony. I don't think he minds if people bash on him for what he said about the xbox.
For all we know he might have a Xbox in his home.

I heard Wii play is pretty crappy. Originally I was going to pick it up so I could get some more mini games & a remote, but I think I'll pass based on reviews.
Right now I have Zelda, Excite truck & wii sports obviously. All 3 are great. I want to pick up wario ware. A lot of the Wii games are party style, but I generally only have 1 person to play it with

my roommate's definitely getting mario party and super smash bros when they come out...but we only pretty much play wii sports for now. 4x4 got old fast, and madden...i dunno, we just haven't played it much. so zelda's good? i read the same thing about wii play earlier. i figure it can't be that bad for $10, right?
