no name poll to settle it!!!!
Thanks a lot, Jason. I wasn't going to post to this thread, mainly because, even though I'm interested in the what people think about this topic, I think the poll is a little too simplistic. No big deal...it's still somewhat interesting.
I have decided to let the attacks slide. I realize that even more important than being a moderator, I'm in a position of leadership in the national S2000 organization. For that alone, I should have left the attacks unanswered. You can expect nothing like that from me any more, mainly because I don't have the energy to do it any more and I don't want to set that kind of example.
I don't like to play the victim and refuse to play that role, in fact. But I DO feel that I was singled out on a personal basis. Go look at Car Talk now and see how many people are actually SELLING things. Badges, mats, whatever else...and that is fine, but I don't see the same attacks from those who do so on those threads. And the most ironic part of all of this is that I was never selling anything. I was simply making a review of a product and I never EVER withheld information about sponsorship. It's there plainly for all to see...
I find that double standard to very obvious and hypocritical, and it gives credence to your argument, Jason, that the attacks in the threads that I posted were merely personal and probably rooted in envy...I don't know and I don't care what the motivation is/was, but it was personal and the examples you provided, Jason, clearly point to it being so.
That said, I didn't always react as I should have. I should have let it all slide, but when, as I felt I have been, so relentlessly pursued, it really wears you thin and sometimes your judgment becomes clouded by emotions - something I will heartily avoid in the future.
Again, I wanted to say thanks for sticking up for me. One of the coolest things about being in Chicago is calling you one a very best friends...

Man, I got all teary-eyed reading that last post from Greg.
Having spent way too much time with Greg over the past year, I can say that he isn't trying to sell anything. He is a beta-tester because he went to over 10 full track days last year and MG realizes the best place to test products is on the track.
I guess what doesn't get posted is that all the products are being developed and Greg puts them on the car whether they work at the time or not. He drives around with them and reports all the problems/issues to MG and they improve the product before they sell it. Kind of nice for someone to be the guinea pig for all of us.
There is no motive for Greg other than he is very excited about our car. Trust me when I say that Greg, Sondra, John, Rick and myself have loads of out-of-pocket expenses related to S2KDays. For all that were there, what a blast we had; for those not there, you better make plans for next year because it will be better than this year.
So, I invite all the naysayers about Greg and his shilling to join us in Monterey next year. What an event it will be, bring your smiley hat, cuz you're going to need it!

Don't believe me ask Ming and Pinky.
At least they are up front about selling stuff, you try to mask your promotion of MGs products as field testing and reviews. That I and obviously others (see above) find annoying.
So un-nail yourself from the cross.
PS; You also said you doubted anyone private messaged me to show support. Many did and expressed dismay over the treatment you and your pals give to people with views that oppose yours. Bully seems to be the word most often mentioned and I don't like bullies.

Greg, I kept it simple as not to offend anyone. I figured most here would be able to read between the lines and make a judgement.
Also Bieg expressed that he had recieved many pm's on his behalf and this would be a chance for those who do feel he is misunderstood to show their numbers. I do not doubt many people feel the same as Bieg but have neither the time nor patience to debate you or your many supporters.
Please do not interpret this post as a endorsement or slam on you.
You have contributed much to the S2000 community with all your hard work and do deserve kudos for that.
