Default NOOOOoooooo!

Well, after 7 years of driving, I've just recieved my first certificate of speeding

I was driving along and I noticed a cop a few cars infront of me and I didn't think of it, and then I stopped at a red light. I look into my side mirror and what do you know, his twin brother! I think back to determine if I was soing any senseless acts of violence or high speed runs, none come to mind and I roll from the light minding my business and guess what? He pulls me over!

He asks me if I knew why he pulled me over, I honestly said, "no sir, I don't". He then says that he clocks me going 48 in a 40

I then give him my license, HCP and proof of insurance, he goes to his car and checkouts my info and he comes back and gives me a ticket for "45 in a 40"

I'm now pissed

Don't worry. If this is your first ticket ever (or first in 7 yrs), you'll either get it dismissed or a PBJ (probation before judgement, where no points will go on your driving or insurance record).

Besides, he wrote the tic for only 5mph over the limit. I'll bet you get it dismissed just on that, unless the judge is a hard ass, the kind who thinks you're guilty just becuse you stepped in his courtroom. Fortunately, there aren't that many judges around.

some cops are pricks...i once got pulled over for "49 in a 40" i was going 44 and he had the nerve to say i was going faster than 49. i know not to speed on that road and it was the car next to me that jammed his brakes which made me look like i was the faster car. dumba$$ cop.

Back when the speedlimits were all 55 on the highway I was riding with a guy in a TA that got a ticket for going 57 in a 55 on I-10 in MS. Stupid.

Just fight it. Chances are that you can either take driving school or it will be dismissed outright.

Chances are they'll drop the points but make you pay a large fine instead. Its win win for them but loose loose for you. Friggen crooks!

Its a ticket.

What is there to fight on a "45 in a 40"?

Judges? Driving Classes?

Just pay the ticket and be on with your life.

Not trying to be mean or rude, but pay it and get another one in 7 years.
