somehow this doesn't seem like the best assembly process to me.......

 

I just toured the plant last week. I saw the new pre-production 2003 roadsters -- they look sweet, much more European in lines while retaining the original look... but now the front and back look like they go together. The Viper is one of the VERY few cars that I would prefer in a coupe over the roadster. When I asked about the GTS version in the new ground up new car for 2003, the guide said it wouldn't happen for a while (ie, roadster only to start with), so GTS's are going to become scarce at least for a while. Where I live they already are at $83,000 a pop.

 

Wow, thanks for the effort. You are, of course, correct about the width factor although, I'd think it wouldn't be much more than an inch or so.
