Delicious bikes from the recent motorcycle show
Blast, forget the name but not based on the Honda from what I remember, think the company is from France.
I wanna get me a MZ Scorpion tho, that looks like a blast! Will probably trade in the RC for a KLR next year tho...

Most of our (well, really mostly he has been around the world on bike... I just pick some random destinations) out of country touring has been done on BMW dual sports (R80Gs, R100GS, R1100GS) , but we like the weight and cost of the KLR's, and want to give them a try.
There was an MZ dealer around here a few years ago... I was never too impressed with them!
The Mz's are pretty neat, they have a 660 Yamaha 4-stroke in them, makes for a great super motard.
But yeah, KLR650... wanna take it up to Prudue Bay next year. Use to have a F650 kitted out with the 7gal tank and Touratech Panniers that I wanted to tour but never had the time (isn't that always the case?) Was considering getting a R100GSPD but they're just so big, might not feel comfortable.
Ever read 10 years on two wheels? Had lunch with the guy, nice fellow, awesome adventures.

I had a '95 R100GSPD for a while... nice bike, but not as good on-road as my R1100GS and not as good off road as my street-legal XR400, but a good compromise! The KLR is a little lighter, a lot less expensive, but we are concerned about it's ability to cover many 300+ mile days on pavement comfortably...
A $3K used KLR and $3K worth of mods, and we think we'll have a pretty good world touring bike...
