Actually, the Clearchannel press release only states that the songs were not banned (which is also stated in the ABC news article). Their press release does not state any other position that they take. The ABC news report says that Clearchannel is "...recommending its stations not play 'lyrically questionable' music...".

that is interesting. there are 5 or 6 stations here in tallahassee that broadcast under clearchannel. i will listen for any of these "banned" songs. i wonder if its stations are following the proposed list.

Here's information about this list. It was created by a Clear Channel program director on his own and distributed to the stations. The fact that some guy in a position of power at a radio station felt the need to do this is ridiculous. What country are we living in?
