Now that Honda has ditched CART
and who can blame them, I think it's time for a Honda ALMS effort.
I'm not talking about a LMP program but rather a S2000 in
the GT class.
Now it's true in stock trim it's not much of a match for a
911 or a V8 M3 but that could be fixed. The remedy is to
give the S2000 a major break on weight. Let's say they
could get a race weight of 2000lbs, then combine that
with a race engine output of 300hp and I think you have
a competitor.
I want to see a S2000 on a race track for more than just
pace car duty.
