I don't think anyone supported the action of shooting the kid, we were merely commenting that this may have saved many other kids from future problems.
If a 15 year old came forward and admitted he did something wrong, that's step 1 that many people who have issues cannot even make, so, why not get the kid into some juvenile program rather than seeing him get down on his knees and beg for life...
