Now that's how it's done!

Are you still playing with the same things you played with at 15?
These are probably two of the most idiotic comments I have read in a long time.
Thinking a 3 year old will not remember the sexual abuse - That child will be scarred in some way for her entire life.
Comparing diddling a little girl at age 15 and playing with the same toys as you did at 15 is rediculous. People that molest little kids do it because it is a sickness. Do some research and you will find that although post treatment juvenille recidivism rates are lower than adults, it is still in the 20-40 percent range 25 years post treatment (50-60 for adults). What is not accounted for regarding recidivism studies is evolution from sexual offenses to other criminal activity (due to juvenille records being locked).
I do not condone the fathers actions, but your comments are idiotic.
EDIT:
The father should have beat the shit out of the kid and then taken him to the police. Better to face charges for child abuse than murder 1.

At 15 years old some kids start getting into drugs and alcohol which can lead to far worse outcomes in the future, for other kids, and even their own kids. Should we put them down too?
If a 15 year old came forward and admitted he did something wrong, that's step 1 that many people who have issues cannot even make, so, why not get the kid into some juvenile program rather than seeing him get down on his knees and beg for life...

. -- No.
While blowing your kids head off is a bit extreme, I get tired of parents not holding their children accountable for their actions. These stupid a$$ parents rush out to get their kids lawyers instead of making them face the consequences. Save our tax dollars, plead guilty and get the help they need.
And by the way...read up on serial killers, serial rapists and child molestors. Most if not all of their sickness starts young and develops/worsens as they age.
Blaming molestation of a 3 year old child on teenage hormones is one of the most idiotic things I have read today. Congratulations, you win!!

yea that's it pawn him off on someone else to fix him...it is sad that he was killed but come on.... do you know how many useless people and kids there are? So we send him to get help... he's cured so they say... 15 years later something switches in him your 4-5 year old is riding his/her bike in your yard... your kid dissapears. You find your child a day later in the woods all bloody from being sodomized or raped by this "cured" kid..... how ever this story will not happen now because the father did what he thought was right in order to savfe others in the long run.... just saying

I suppose the dad could have continued to do the rest of us favors and turned the gun on himself
Now we'll have to pay for him to get a fair trial...

Our tax dollars would have paid for burial and funeral anyway.
The story is not clear and doesn't reveal what the boy had actually done. Maybe he was curious and touched the girl's body and that was it; but then he felt guilty and told his mom that he molested her (doesn't necessarily mean intercourse). He did not deserve to be shot, esp. by his own father. The father was just crazy; plain and simple.
