Off-topic Talk Where overpaid, underworked S2000 owners waste the worst part of their days before the drive home. This forum is for general chit chat and discussions not covered by the other off-topic forums.

Now that's how it's done!

The 3 year old wont remember? Have you ever studied or read up on child molestation cases? Its usually from someone close and happens over a continued period of time. Some victums of molestation endure it over many, many years.

So youd be perfectly OK with someone touching and molesting your 3 year old, because they wont remember it? It definitely sounds that way from your statement.

I conficted on what to think about the shooting personally.... seems that these kinds things turn into repeat offenders and the justice system nurtures this kinda crap.

I prefer the kid be dead rather than grow up to hurt more children and become a repeat offender our justice system loves so much.

These are probably two of the most idiotic comments I have read in a long time.

Thinking a 3 year old will not remember the sexual abuse - That child will be scarred in some way for her entire life.

Comparing diddling a little girl at age 15 and playing with the same toys as you did at 15 is rediculous. People that molest little kids do it because it is a sickness. Do some research and you will find that although post treatment juvenille recidivism rates are lower than adults, it is still in the 20-40 percent range 25 years post treatment (50-60 for adults). What is not accounted for regarding recidivism studies is evolution from sexual offenses to other criminal activity (due to juvenille records being locked).

I do not condone the fathers actions, but your comments are idiotic.

EDIT:

The father should have beat the shit out of the kid and then taken him to the police. Better to face charges for child abuse than murder 1.
I agree, maybe I was alittle too extreme in my first post.

It is most definitely an illness, one that there seems to be no cure, only treatable to a degree.

Sorry I wasn't saying that was your opinion; there were a few posters who believed the kid got what he deserved, however, and I believe that's wrong.

What's interesting in this thread is how some people adamantly defend the 3 year old who was abused for fear of future repercussions, and yet when people grow up and do stupid things like rob, kill, and so on, we are quick to judge them as psychos that deserve to be locked up or shot when in most cases, their behavior relates directly to something that happened when they were young... Just thought I'd point that out...

Maybe he was curious and touched the girl's body and that was it; but then he felt guilty and told his mom that he molested her (doesn't necessarily mean intercourse).
I'm sorry, is one better than the other? Is one act less of a wrong than the other?

The answer is NO by the way

We should screen babies as they come out of their moms, as well as during their childhood, for any mental deficiencies and then throw them in incinerators when they go "bad".
This made me laugh.

F'd up situation!

Of course there's a difference, a huge degree of difference. A slight touching of the chest area can be considered molestation, which is hugely different from intercourse. In the end, the father was crazy and that's why his ass is going to rot in jail, if not sentenced to death.
