to be honest, i don't have a problem with this one. sucks for the dude who died & his family.
luckily this means the criminals in question get charged with murder... and have 0 chance of getting off the hook for it...

If anyone dies while you are committing a felony, you are responsible for the death as if you had killed them. tis the law. i think. i've watched a lot of law&order.

this isn't justified, the dude was just getting beat and robbed, and then ended up dead because of the cop's interference
Nobody should have guns. End of problem. Widely considered one of the best trained, most effective police forces in the world... The English. Do they carry guns? No. How many people were accidentally shot in England by regular patrol officers in the last, ooo, forever? That's right, none. (disclaimer: special officers at some mainline central london train stations, and UK airports, carry MP5s for the pleasure of terrorists).
US Constitution is way, way, way overdue an amendment. Funny part is, most Americans are fiercely Christian (or at least claim to be). Wasn't there a commandment about murder? I'm sure there was...
Are you guys the only first world country in the world that advocates the carrying of guns by the regular Joe? I think you are, but I'm open to correction...
PS. This is not an attack on America or Americans, I love the country and at least some of the people. If I could, I'd move to Miami tomorrow. It's just that all these thoughts came up while I was reading that passage.
