Jindo Dogs own all.. I prefer a dog that can actually protect me in a bad situation. I really don't like toy dogs, nothing but eye candy, also they can become really stuck up and I have personally seen where toy dogs would refuse to eat dog food and drink tap water.

Is that a branch of an Akita. Love the Akitas, Snow Dogs, Shepards, etc...

Is the Akita a Japanese dog? Then it would have probably been a mix of Jindo/native of Japan, as some of you know the Japanese had occupied Korea in the earlier 1900's they stole our women, resources, and our friggin dogs. The Jindo is native to Korea, coming from the coastal island of Jindo, the dog is extremely loyal to its master and is extremely territorial. There have been documented cases where the owner had given the dog to another person 500KM away, the dog suddenly ran away, and about 2 month later the original owner came home to see his dog waiting at the doorsteps. My Jindo often times digs her way through little cracks in the backyard and escapes to the other side of the street. I once came home and the dog wasn't there, I started trippin, and called her name. I got into my car and went around the block to see the dog running towards my house. Stupid Dog !!

Akita, tend to have a darker snout, but otherwise look exactly like your Jindo. Mine is coffee brown and is called "Bear", because he looks like a bear with that big head full of hair and a muscular build.
