Official Strange and/or Unique Road/Street Names Thread. Actual DOT only please
Off-topic TalkWhere overpaid, underworked S2000 owners waste the worst part of their days before the drive home. This forum is for general chit chat and discussions not covered by the other off-topic forums.
Hey, everyone has a few Road Names/signs in the State where you live that make you laugh. Some may need a little commentary
Here's a few from me. Someone at the N.C. DOT actually authorized this one! Let's not resemble this one........ Let's hope she's a hottie! At least she knows what to do when she gets home. The people living on this road want Ed McMahon to drive down it with a big check.
Post what you've got! I 'll be back with a few more to take pics of.
In Los Angeles there is a very short cul-de-sac with the name South Exa Court. The name seems a bit odd, but not all that provocative. That is, until you think how it would be abbreviated on a map:
There's a Yellow Brick Rd. in Clifton, VA near the bunny man tunnel. it's not actually called the bunny man tunnel...but if you're from there you should know what i'm talkin about
Here's another.....The DOT had to put this one up on guy wire because it became popular in the local University's dorm rooms. It was constantly being stolen from the sign pole.
There is one on the way to Mohave from the Central Valley (58 East I think) named "ZZYZX."
I am not sure how to steal the photo, so here is the link: http://www.schweich.com/imagehtml/1440-11.html
