Just to throw another one into the mix, but I'm a fan of the occasional Captain Morgan Private Stock. A little pricy for what you're getting though.

Beer of choice: Guinness can (not bottle), Guinness Extra Stout (bottle of course), Guinness draft.

Mixed drink of choice: Bacardi Mojito (especially sitting on the beach at the Fairmont Mayakoba, look it up) and French Connection with OJ

Wine of choice: NO ####ING MERLOT, Lindeman's Bin 239 Cabernet/Shiraz 2004 (Australian), Neumanthia (Spanish Red)

One to try....Jose Cuervo Black, goes down like honey.

Unfortunately, that has a lot to do with demand. Before it became a standard top-shelf rum in every corpo-weasal bar in the world, it was something you had to go to the right liquor store to get. . . and it was under $20 then.

However, your aged Appletons, Bacardis and some lesser known aged rums are still a relative bargain to their Scotch brethren, and sometimes just as complex, if you know what you're looking for.

Have some Pomerol or Saint-Emilion, and get over yourself.

my shelf of temptation and inebriation. Mostly a whisky drinker but do enjoy other spirits as well.

Wine : californian, Stags Leap cab or Clos Du Val cab and merlot.

Beer: Guiness, New Castle, Boddingtons, McSorley's dark (but only from McSorley's in the LES NYC).
