There is no way we're attacking Iran. Not enough soldiers.

Hybrids and ethanol are the answer. Hybrids that get 100+ mpg are probably less than 5 years away. We are producing more and more ethanol, and with the price of gas so high, it will be cheaper to run ethanol then gasoline.

The nice thing about capitalism is that it's usually able to solve its problems in 5-10 years usually with little or no government involvment.

planning and trianing is in prcoess already. I have alot of friends from mchord who fly/work on the cargoes and hear the details of these everyday plus talk/planning of this has been going since last year or even more. Plus with airstrikes we dont need boots on the ground, and in case, we have all the infrastructure right next door in Iraq. Kind of conventiant huh lol Iran is a far greater threat than Iraq...*off topic

If we strike Iran thats 2.5 million barrels a day def will be $5 or more for gallon.

you do know that ethanol has less energy than gasoline per gallon, so it takes more gallons to drive a given distance.

also, right now, it is more expensive, too.

ethanol isn't a new, cutting edge fuel. there's a reason we don't use it to drive our cars...it is not economical.

I don't know who you're talking to in the military, but for one, they are BS'ing you and should not be talking to you about details any type of "training" or "planning" we may be doing anyway since that is an OPSEC violation. Having the "infrastructure" right next door makes it all that much more complicated. We cannot afford to have our troops well within range of Iranian missiles after lobbing a few GBU's into a couple of their nuclear facilities.
