Default Ok All You Computer Gurus!! Help Me Out!!

Ok....I just assembled a computer for my brother. I have assembled many, many computers in the past, including three of mine, a couple for my cousins, and a couple more for my mom and dad. Now, for some odd reason, after I have assembled everything, turned the computer on, setup windows, restart, then I get no video to the monitor. I restart and I get video ( I have no idea what happened), installation of Windows resumes, freezes, I restart the computer, I get no video again. Now the computer refuses to start up with video to the monitor. The computer functions normally, for I recognize the POST beeps and so on. What the hell is going on? I just replaced the Motherboard and the video card is brand new.

I would guess something with the video card if it's not something simple...

Refresh rate too high for the monitor? Does VGA (safe mode)mode work? Does the motherboard have built in video, if so is it disabled in the bios?

i've had both bad simms/dimms and bad slots in the past. either one will cause random lockups or computer not getting to POST.

Thing is, I hear all the regular POST beep codes. The hard drive seems like it's working. It's just so confusing.
