Did you note the license number, make, and model of the car that you had towed? If so, you might want to alert the police if you're concerned about retaliation. At the very least, you might want to phone the local PD and ask their opinion of the situation.

NICE! Props to you for trying to find other solutions before resorting to towing.

One time at work, some guy kept parking his car in my assigned parking spot. The first time I didn't say anything and left it at that. The second time, I taped my business card on his windshield with a note - "This is an assigned executive parking space, please do not park here again. Thank you." The third time, I investigated and found out the the owner of the car works in our call center in customer service. So I went over there and told him in person... Do not park there or I will have your car towed.

The next day, I'm coming back from lunch and guess what? His little Tercel is once again in my space. I called up to the Office Manager, she called the tow company and within 30 minutes hauled his car away.

When he found out about the tow and the fees involved to get his car out, this guy was pissed. He emailed me a threatening letter demanding that I pay for the tow fees or "else". I forwarded to his team supervisor with a short note - Terminate him immediately. 10 minutes later he lost his job and was escorted out of the building by security.

I live in a small town, so I used to knock on doors if it happened, but I was always looking for a fight, I love to fight...especially with a reason...lol. Smart move Mingster, in a way, you towed that guy for all of us.
