Default Ok, I did it!

Remember back over Christmas when I had people park in my spot (I had to park on the street about quarter of a mile away)? Well, it's been happening too much so I called my association and gotten an authorization letter basically saying I have the right to tow anyone who's in my spot (when I can't find the people).

It happened again tonight and I was too tired to go knocking on doors, so I called the towing company, they came out, looked at the letter, nodded, and towed the car away.

I have to say, it felt...satisfying when the car was towed away...

Until you get keyed.

Sucks how the world works.

I wanted to have someone towed one time too, but decided against it. (They blocked my car in, while taking up half of the driveway entrance) If I had a letter like you do, I would have probably done the same thing.

I tried to leave for work one day and there was a city bucket truck (damn big one too) parked in my driveway and no way for me to get out. I had to call work to tell them I would be late. I spent nearly an hour looking for the driver with no luck. I got in the truck found the keys and drove it to the city offices and told them my story. They were pissed, first at me, then at the driver because he was scheduled on the other side of the city. They later told me that he called in two hours later to report his turck stolen and had to admit that he was visiting a lady friend on instead of working.

I would've taken pictures and video if possible. then also called the local news. as soon as they arrived, I would've driven it to the city office as you did...

That would have been great but at the time, it was about 1979, in the small town / city I lived in the local media ignored us and we were well over an hour from the so-called local TV / newspaper. They didn't care about us. The driver turned out to be the mayors grandson so all he got was fussed at a little bit.

Did you take video or pics of the car owner's reaction when he/she realized the car was missing? Next time you should and post it here.

Just keep looking out for any scratches on your car. Never know, the people who just got towed probably are pissed off. But I bet it felt satisfying
