Default is it ok to leave GPS in the car?

not talking about theft but temperature wise.. especially in this cold weather....
i guess it's ok since many cars have built-in navi's..

I've left mine for two very cold winter seasons, no issues at all. If it's super cold, the screen can take a few minutes to come to full brightness.

My GPS has been sitting in my glove box all winter. I used it a few days ago, worked fine. At the very worst, the screen may have a bit of lag loading, but that is apparent with most electronics with screens (nav, iPod, etc.). I'm in NJ. It was 19 the other day

You know what's crazy is the parking kiosks in Phila are getting laggy due to the cold. It's awesome but not really.

I left mine in my car for 3 years. No problem.
I live in Norcal which doesn't get very cold though.
