is it okay to keep digi cam in the car?
It seems like whenever I see a hot car and I want to take a picture of it I am left without my digital camera and I end up using my cell phone camera.
My question is, is it okay for my camera to be in the car at all times? I live in NJ and I get all four seasons. winter can go down to 0 degrees and summer goes up to 90s. is it okay for my camera? or should I stay away from this?

I know when I go up to the mountains to board, I'll put my regular ipod in a sealed plastic bag to prevent moisture from getting in.
I'm in CA so I just keep my P&S camera in the car, but not my DSLR.
