I could tell many many tales of people getting tickets and various charges -- as I have represented over 18,000 people in the past 24 years here on Long Island, N.Y. . One that comes to mind was when I had an eve. appointment with a client - it was set for 7:30 p.m. . He was coming in on only one ticket - gotten while riding his motorcycle. He didn't show - and I called his house and got his answer machine.
I was working late that night and at about 11:30 p.m. the bell rang. I opened the door and there was my client with a fist full of tickets. He said "I didn't want to come here with just one ticket -- so I went out and got some more."
Ends up that he had gotten to my office early and - decided to drive around a little on his bike. There is a road that has a bridge on it about 3/4 a mile from my office. This client apparently really liked to go flying over that bridge (30 mph zone) at about 65 MPH and then be air borne at the top. So that is what he did - and as he flew through the air in a north bound direction - he looked down and saw the roof of a police car going southbound on the same bridge. Well - a chase ensued (that particular road ends at the third precinct - there were plenty of cops near-by) - and he ended up at a dead end, layed the bike down, climbed a tree, and hid there for a while.
The dogs found him.
He "collected a whole set" of tickets that night.
