What is the oldest car you ever owned and used as a daily driver. I'm not talking about a restored classic or anything like that. I'm talking new, used, beater or whatever. I'll start: '59 Fiat 600. four cylinder, 17 bhp, 2-door (suicide doors, open backwards), 70 mph top end, floored, down hill. Oh, yeah, it was pretty damn ugly, too!

My first car was a '51 Chevy two door fastback coupe. Then I didn't have to carpool to school in the '40 Buick that six guys rode in.

1956 Plymouth Savoy. Passenger side floor was rusted out. Lots of fun in rain or snow

'52 Chevy, 3 in the tree. Burned more oil than gas. Bought it for $100.00, drove it for 6 months, sold it for $200.00. Wish I had that one today.

In the mid 1980's my daily driver was a 1955 Cadillac Eldorado convertible!
Talk about an "open roadster" ! ! ! I actually think she was considered a sports car in her day!
I used to take 9 of my closest friends to the drive-in with me. (not counting those in the trunk)
Those were some gooood times ! ! !
Boy do I miss that car !!!

well...i did use my 1923 ford T roadster as a daily driver a few years ago.......it was sort of an experiment to see if i could put up with the hassle....it actually worked quite well with my short commute and the bay area's fab climate.... currently the '71 914 "beater" has been replaced with a lo milage '67 VW beetle....i use it when the job requires transporting cargo i'd rather not have in the honda.....[and you bay area guys know what that is...]

In high school (graduated in '94) I used my mother's 1969 Mustang Grande edition for a long while.

Following that, though, the oldest car I had was a hand-me-down 1980 Chevy Citation. It was my grandfather's (VERY well cared for), then my aunts' (rotted in a NYC parking garage), then mine (fixed up nicely, but man that engine was junk).

It was free.

It won't break any records on this thread, but for posterity's sake mine was a '66 mustang.
