radtech, take it down a notch seriously. Canada won; it's a good thing and we're happy about it. But I don't see anything there to brag about.

Learn to be like the athletes who are actually involved in the Olympic to show respect to other countries. Also, it doesn't matter whether you think summer Olympic is boring or not. The fact is that it's much larger in terms of scale and valued more importantly.
i was about to say the same thing, but i figured he must be a kid looking for attention.

Jesus christ radtech, you sound like a whiny little bitch and WE won.

Back on topic... That was an intense game. I like how slow and careful they were at the beginning. You could feel the tension build up and see the it open up as it went on. Maybe not the most exciting game ever, but definitely a great game with a hell of a storyline.

Cool way to finish off the Olympics for the host city/country.

I would just like to point out that he does not represent Canada and that we're not all douchebags.

Good game!

lol, I just don't think you're doing much other than drawing more hatred. You know even if you don't chant, people will still respect Canada for what it has accomplished, probably more if you hadn't gone all out and bragged about it.
This.

Good job for Canada beating US in hockey. Both sides played a great game. I can't help but feeling if there had been more Minnesota players on the USA side, north US would have lost.

Oh, did I just say that!?!

Just kidding, the fact that it came down to the USA vs. Canada, I was happy. Almost just as glad Canada won, despite my friends on the US team. I'd be just as happy if the US beat Canada, almost Those bastard Canucks! lol.

Seriously, I'm happy for Canada. They deserved every gold medal, and as a nothern US citizen, at times we identify more with Canada than the rest of the US. Just don't get cocky, or we'll give you Texas as punishment. They're also too big for their britches and refuse to acknowledge how much their southern partner has made them what they are

You better hope they don't make the next USA Olympic hockey team all-Minnesota, or you guys don't stand a chance. But you know you can always come down for a beer

In all fairness it was a great game but WAAAY too stessful. I got a headache from all the stress hormones pumping around. I was bitchy for at least an hour before the game started until way after it ended.

Crosby winning the game was a storybook ending, that from a superstar expected to produce who scored his first goal of the tournament in overtime in the gold medal game. I guess he did what he was there to do but man they sure didn't make it easy on themselves.

The US team has many great players, so do some of the other teams, they just don't have an entire team of great players. Teams like the USA, dedicate their best players to the first couple of Canada's lines, which they do a great job containing, but there is little left in the tank for Canada's 3rd and 4th lines which are a match for any other team's best players. Our "checking" lines produced the vast majority of the offense, scoring goal after goal.

Congrats to team USA for an excellent game that could have gone either way. It was a very respectable showing, unlike say Russia, who were clearly out-classed. Team USA was very much a serious contender it just didn't go their way this time but they were fully in it until the last second of the game.

Thank God!

Go Canada woot!

they were so boring, what with all the figure skating, bobsledding, etc.
yeah, flying down an ice covered ditch at 160kph pulling 5Gs is so lame compared to the thrills and spills of chucking an iron ball into a sandbox.

Congrats Canada! I love Canada and don't really see you guys as "different" from us down here. I'm very pleased with how well the Canadians have done.
