If I work for Mclaren and show up to work wearing a Ferrari cap I would get fired, even if the Ferrari cap is cooler.

 

But would you get fired if you were a reporter who showed up to a Maclaren press conference wearing a Ferrari hat?

 

You would if you were a reporter that is from a company/news outlet that overtly supports the interests of Mclaren

 

I live in the college town and football is a religion here. I swear I've been chewed out for wearing Texas gear by random folks. They still remember games from 1969 and are die hard fans. I don't blame Petrino for what he said... I think he had every right especially after the Gator/Razorback game last year. A low ranked SEC team was about to upset the number one team in the nation but the officials screwed up. They were suspended from future games because of bad calls.
Wearing a Gator hat could be an honest mistake but I'm sure everybody checks what to wear before heading to work...
Since she does works in media, I bet she wore the hat to see what reaction she could get out of Petrino and rest of the Razorback fans. Its obviously working.
