I feels so weird not wearing my seat belt in the S like when i have to open the gate then drive up to the house. I'm sliding and moving all over the place. lol. I love that belt in the S is holds me in place.

Its law in Australia that you must wear a seat belt in a car.
Not really an issue of "the Man" telling us how to live. Its just a simple fact of increased safety for the car occupants and saving the emergency services crews from having higher chances of having to scrape bodies off the roads.

I only buy vehicles with 4 and 5 star crash ratings.
When driving past people in known 2-star vehicles, I wonder what kind of person has that little regard to their safety.
I'm not surprised to see the smoking, unbelted driver yapping on a cell phone.

That's from a 40mph crash. I want my kid / wife / mom / dad / sister to only have a minor chance of serious injury if something happens at suburban speeds.
Actually, that's why we took away my Mom's Blazer and swapped it for a Honda Pilot.

It has to do with a far larger political issue: the slow errosion of my ability to make my own decisions as to my own personal well-being.
Sad thing is it is only going to get worse. Heck we've got two socialists running for President that would just LOVE to increase the government's policing of peoples lives.
