An Open Apology to S200Raj
On a thread seeking advice to a knee injury, I read a reply from Raj to the OP’s inquiry that struck me immediately as being fraudulent. I then left several of my own replies to this using a choice of words that was improper and hurtful. Although I cannot take back what I wrote, I wish to apologize to Raj and members of this forum for drafting a ill-conceived retort.
As a medical professional myself, I was convinced that Raj was not a physician, but was claiming to be one. I had no proof of this other than encountering several situations on this board of members indeed claiming to be something they were not. So, I made the mistake of rushing to judgment, and further, drafted a poorly written reply. The predominance of evidence suggests Raj is indeed an anesthesiologist (medical doctor) and that I was wrong in my assumption that he was not a physician.
The number of people that came to defend Raj, and their support of him sent me a strong message that that Raj must indeed be a very good guy to garner this kind of friendly backing. This is truly admirable.
Being a medical professional, I know firsthand what physicians go through in their education, training, residency, rotations, sleepless nights, board certifications, continuing education, and insurance requirements, to name just a few. They have earned their title of Doctor, and have gone through what most could never endure. In my mind, this is the main reason why I get so vehemently angry when I read posts that I felt were written by those that are posing to be a physician when they are not. Unfortunately, I lumped Raj into this.
As a passionate medical professional, I can’t promise that I wouldn’t post again if I would read medical commentary that I could offer some constructive content. You have my assurance, Raj, that my choice of words will be concise, as I have learned a lesson from this experience. Perhaps then it is best that I refrain from the Off Topic area, and stick with the areas of this forum that interested me to become a member initially.
Peace, and humility.

The fact that you posted this says a great deal about you. Your stock went up a few notches in my mind.
Raj is a greaat guy and has done more that has been called for to help people here. Opinions often differ even within the same field and doctors are not always correct, they are afterall human.

I do believe there is a special place in hell for people that are not, to claim they are a physician. Unfortunately, I lumped Raj into this.

You did what few will, publicly apologized.
