Opinions on StonGard
Does anyone have any experience with StonGard? It is a thin clear eurathane material that gets put on leading parts of the car that's prone to stone chips.
I want opinions from anyone with anything to say about this (or similar) product.
Because it's a thin layer, if I wax my car (hood), I am afraid the wax will be stuck between right at the edge of the stong gard material and the hood and I'm going to have to use a toothpick to take it off.
How about durability and maintenence?
Thanks.

If you get wax along the edges, a detailing brush will get it out pretty easy, just like if you get wax in a pin stripe. I've had it on my S2000 for about 2 years now. About a month ago, I took off the pieces on my mirrors, and all it needed was a good coat of wax to get them looking like new before I installed a new set.
The most important part is finding a good installer. It's like window tint, some people know how to do a good job and some don't. If you have any questions, you can PM me since I'm a distributor for them.
