Which OS do you use?
I voted Windows because my primary computer (the one I use the most, to surf the web, do number crunching, word processing manage my finance etc etc) runs Windows 2000.
However I do have two other computers, one running Linux (this serves as my router, firewall, web server etc) and another with Solaris x86 installed (I barely use this anymore because it's too noisy, I'll have to replace the power supply, and maybe hard disk before I start doing anything with this again).

I think your original question is fine. You cant exactly go down to Comp USSR and pic up OS
and install it. You would need a Mac to do that.
Maybe he should have phrased it different, but there is a difference between making a sub $400 Linux box, and buying a [over priced] Mac.

I have been using windows xp on this computer for the about 3 years when it hits april... im not sure wat Linux is but i have heard about it. i am planning to get something like a apple or something...i no it is weird and stuff but bcoz i like to do art and stuff im used to those operating systems then windows. but i would prefer windows for home use stuff.
