Happens all the time in this country.

Remember the McDonalds Coffee incident:
"A lady bought coffee at a McDonald’s drive-through, spilled it on herself, and suffered minor burns. She sued McDonald’s, and with the help of a clever attorney, managed to convince a jury that it was all McDonalds’ fault for not providing adequate warning that hot coffee is indeed hot, and can scald you. The lady walked away with a multi-million dollar award."

I have a dress shirt from Express that tells me to not iron the shirt while I'm wearing it.

gatecrasher: you seem like a smart guy, so i'll put this very simply. that statement about the mcdonalds incident is *completely false.* 100% bullshit. if you read what actually happened, i guarantee you'll be on the woman's side. i can give cliffnotes if you like.

however, the OP's story seems like total frivolity.

Sad! The thought was that aluminum bats were safer than wood, but we have become an overly litigious society.

yes gotrice, i didn't bother linking but the truth is she only asked for 20k... which barely covered her medical expenses. McD's was stupid as hell for not taking that offer.

OMFG.... you gotta be ****ing kidding me.

GPM wasnt so outta line it seems, looks like the kinda stuff he spoke against.

However, people, expect this kinda shit to get much worse in the near future. We will soon be paying for free healthcare for illegals, increased degration of our bill of rights and so on... welcome to the USSA.
