our start button.....
ahaha, my buddy converted his POS Civic to push start button 4 years ago. Although his wasn't from the S2000, it was just an after market one.
Seems like a lot of luxury cars are going for the push start button nowaday. The Beamer 7 series, soon the 3 series and I know the C6 has push start button just like ours. I can't remember, but one other car that has one and it looks identical to ours with the "Engine Start ".

I wound up doing this to my 75 Civic back around 1979 when the ignition switch failed and it was cheaper to rewire it to a button I installed in the dash than to replace the whole ignition assembly. Of course, it was a plain little white botton, not our flashy BRB.

the prius has them too, as well as the mclaren/mercedes that has it on the shift knob.
the latest thing is using the button as an on off switch in luxury cars. Additionally with the luxo cars you don't have to use the key in the ignition at all. It has to be in the car and then kinda bluetooth like lets the car know it can turn on and all you do is hit the button.
