OH MY GOD!!!!!!nastassja and the serpent by avedon!!!we used to talk endlessly about how many shots it took to get THE one....if you study the photo closely[and god knows we did..]you cannot even imagine anything being shifted even 1/16 inch...the image;it's parts and the sum,is perfect....luck?,talent?,a million shots??...go figure..[and keep in mind this was waaay before photoshop...]

by the way...i recall she was facing left..and in color...a while ago i saw a framed,signed print online for 3 grand!!...worth every penny i'd say.
and yes..cat people.[actually sort of a "cat people II]
or any of her totally psychotic dad's movies directed by an equally psychotic werner herzog....aguirre..nosferatu..fitzcarraldo..woyzec k....et al.

Even though those of us in Vintage appreciate seeing a photo from the past, and we especially appreciate seeing a photo from the past of a beautiful woman, this really doesn't belong in Vintage.
